I also saw billboards that are down and they pulled down some dangerous posts at the Fort. We are expecting harsh winds equal to that of Milenya or worse so let's all take care guys.

Lights, Camera, GUTS … ACTION!

 

What craziness have I done this time?  You see, I’m not satisfied with my biggest scandal in the office yet…  I need more publicity!  It’s actually a part of my things-to-do-before-I-die list… 

Like touching and holding a very ferocious crocodile that could bite my whole hand off…

That was the scariest experience of my life!!! 

Ok, that was totally unnecessary but I will tell you the story of my very eventful, steaming hot Monday night.

 

When in Manila…

I am really not from Manila.  You know I’m an Ilongga from Bacolod, but I have been residing in Manila city for almost 4 years already and I thought I knew all the coolest places here.  I am so wrong!  When I browsed around the videos of featured places  in When in Manila’s website, I was shocked to know that I only know 1 out of the 6 places they featured!  That means I don’t know my Manila!  Shame on me T__T  Also, they featured one activity / hobby called in Manila called “Parkour.”  I didn’t know that there are people who do Parkour here in the Philippines until I saw their feature for it.

WIM’s website was just launched recently but they were uploading weekly updates of Philippines’ fake news on youtube even before their launch.  Their profile on youtube started out a bit shy but it’s slowly getting attention as they accumulate more and more viewers and followers.

 

My guts… my guts, my guts, my guts… Check it out!

WIM news was looking for a correspondent and since I’m on a long leave I thought, yes ok I will try and do this correspondent thing!  It will just be totally easy right? I just need to do the following and it will be alright… right?

1. dress corporate

2. put a bit of make-up on, and

3. just read the script right?

So I thought, It wouldn’t be that bad at all… all will be well :D

 

I am so WRONG again!

 

First of all, dressing corporate would mean I would look professional on cam and I would need a suite.  In my day job, we don’t wear super corporate attires, we just wear a smart-business-casual attire.  But of course, I still have my corporate suite on standby just in case… So I was digging for my suite, found it, tried it on and … … … Well, IT WON’T FIT ME!!! DEMMET! The blazer, I can still manage to wear but not close it… The skirt… Oh TEH HORROR… never mind the skirt!  That means I gained 10 pounds 

 

I hate make-ups.  I hate going to the parlor for make-ups, they make me look less attractive @_@ Light make up suits me more so I decided to do it on my own…  OH YES!

My mom bought these really expensive make-ups…  She has this mineral make-up foundation called smashbox and I tried it on me and phew! it looked good… Little did I know, I was applying make-up the whole time with the not-so-nice lights…  It was pretty much dim in my mom’s room and I didn’t factor-out to get out to the “light” because I was really in a rush!  I am meeting up with Chinese people and I know they hate late people…

Next thing I knew, I was at their home-made “studio” already… they had white fluorescent lights and they had some mirrors on the wall.  I went to look into my make up and I was like “"HOLY FISH!!! WHAT THE FUDGE!?! – WHITE BALANCE PHHAIIILLLL!!!!!!!!!!” I looked so white! like my head was deprived from blood!  So eventually, I had to excuse myself from the crew and got tissue and took off some layer of foundation!  I unfortunately do not have a picture in the studio because I was so tense that time that I forgot to take pictures! 

 

And who said reading the script while shooting is easy?

EPIC Fail… you should have seen me!  I find it so hard to memorize lines and at first I was so thankful that they will be rolling the script below the camera for me…  But DAYM!  It was just too hard…

See at first I was trying to VOCALIZE to keep up with Vince’s powerful voice but in the end he said… “Dude, RELAX! you’re trying to hard! Just Talk normally like the way you talk to me” @_@

and so I just did everything they say… I tried to!  But it was so hard to have so many things in mind while shooting!  I need to make sure my hair looks neat… oh and that I’m not sweating too much.  The room is does not have AC, only a fan… but when shooting, they turn it off because it makes disturbing noises on film.  So we’re filming, with not much ventilation, and what am I wearing again? Oh yes that’s right, my TIGHT-FITTING BLAZER!

Over-all, it was an awesome experience for me…  I had to thank the crew for their patience for my being an amateur to the whole shoot.  It was my first time to be in a scripted filming.  I have had interviews on cam that went out on your TV sets (yes… blush) but not this scripted… (shy) 

 

Anyway, you should watch out for this episode of WIM News with me as their correspondent.  In the video you will find that the Candy has now turned from a delicate little flower into a mildly wild (but still little) Venus fly trap XD.  So, don’t laugh too much at me or don’t go horny over the speech I will make lolz… What am I talking about??? Body Fabulous Commitment

I admit I have been taking my body for granted. I don't like what I see in the mirror lately and it is not what I used to look like. Before, having a fabulous body is so effortless for me because it was a part of my daily routine. Cheering practices from 8am to 12 midnight really burns my body out. I even eat breakfast twice before and I maintained that 90 lbs but I didn't feel the effort!

Right now, I'm doing office work and I'm just so sedentary in my seat... Yeah I surf but it's not often! I just hate how I don't fit into my jeans now and weighing 20 lbs more. I know, it's not bad enough but if I don't put effort I might gain another 20 more??? YUCKS! Hell no! No way am I gonna allow that to happen!

So, I am blogging this... just to keep me reminded that I have written this commitment online!

In 6 months... I shall be body fabulous again!
