Happy 21st Birthday Ed!

ed-westwick.org Hey Gossip Girls. Just a Gossip Girl update. The boy we love to hate just celebrated his 21st birthday at Tao Las Vegas. Although, once a bad boy always a bad boy. Here's a sneak peak of Chuck Bass's sizzlin summer in GG's season 2. ed-westwick.org Definitely a steamy summer for a steamier season! But that's Chuck Bass we're talking about... Real life Ed Westwick though is much sweeter in person. ed-westwick.org After the Filthy Youth's performance in New York, he immediately approach his very own supporting parents. ed-westwick.org

Garlic Longanisa

I cooked my own breakfast this morning. I put in a little extra effort in waking up early and preparing something for myself. I got this garlic longanisa from Cabanatuan and this is the best, tastiest longanisa I have ever tasted. I added a salted egg and tomatoes to match.

Subprime for Dummies

I just think that I should share what I understand about the sub-prime crisis. To many who are curious like me, but don't understand the explanations that the World Wide Web gives about questions on sub-prime, then you?re lucky to read this entry for I will explain in basic and general terms what really happened.Since October, when the sub-prime topic was starting to hit the newspapers, I didn't know it's implications to the community until I attended our company?s ?Understanding Financial Markets and Services? training. The scenario:   [ad] Imagine a financing company accepting loans from people like me and you. Before they accept your loan, they would first have to confirm that you are ?credit-worthy.? They have to make sure that you could pay them with the added interest because that is how they earn. In plain common sense, why would they loan out cash to people whom they know can?t pay them? They know if we are able to pay by asking for our proof of income, asking other...

F1's first Night Race

I am out of words as I am at my most excited self ever yet in my entire life. I just bought my tickets to this event and I will be going to Singapore. That's right, the first ever Formula One night race will be held on September 28, 2008 at Marina, Singapore. Not to mention, this will be my first travel outside my country and I am making it so memorable that I will be part of F1' history. Ever since I played Grand Turismo, I knew then that I just love racing and speed. Even just by go-karting I feel so free. I definitely wouldn't miss this for the world. If you don't want to miss this, buy your tickets and fly to Singapore now! The hotel, flight and race tickets are getting more and more expensive as our peso is degrading and I expect that our peso is weak up to November. So the longer it takes for you to decide on buying tickets, the higher you're going to pay due to our exchange rate. And, seats are already limitted. I will be travelling on a budget with my love o...

Globe Telecom and Apple Bring iPhone 3G to Philippines

Uh oh I've been waiting for iPhone to have a legitimate service provider and now it has partnered with Globe! This is expected to be in the Philippine coast later this year. The only main difference with this and it's latter predecessor though is its 3G so if you can just live without 3G then you might stick to your 1st edition iPhone. For more information, check out Globe's website . If you ask me though, I'd still go for Sony Ericsson's Xperia. I'm still waiting for its release in 2009 though. That's right. I hope it won't be too late for other competitors to realize and design a similar phone like this. I hope its perfection would be worth waiting for. For more information, visite Xperia's mini website .

Insect bite allergy blues

My boss tagged me as the ?Mistress of Mishaps.? I have visited the hospital many times this year already. I had too many check-ups. I had some allergies, some infections and even complex fibro adenoma that?s why I had to undergo surgery too. Not to mention my voluntary plastic surgery (or cosmetic surgery) to have my growing mole excised early January. Even while on vacation I was recognized by nature. Oh yeah, something bit or stung me in my foot. I thought at first that it was just ant bite. But then after our dinner at Lab-as (third day of stay in Dumaguete), the whole of my feet swelled to the point that walking is already very painful. So, I was rushed again to the hospital and had my tetanus shot. I?m afraid in cases like these because you never know what bit you. I was afraid that a bacteria might have caused the swelling and if that?s the case then that would be very bad because there?s a possibility that your feet would be amputated. Yikes! After the shot and some pa...

Day 3: Balanan Lake

June 2, 2008 We had to endure waking up early in the morning to enjoy the rest of the day. After we had breakfast at 6:30 am, we had to get ready for the 1.5 hour drive to Balanan Lake. We were greeted by this beautiful road bridge after we entered the resort?s premises. It had beautiful man-made step falls linking the river so that it would continuously fall from this mountainous terrain to the plains. We rented ?bankas? (small boat) so that we could go to the other side of the lake. We were told that the depth of this lake is about 70ft -100ft. After 30 minuits of boat riding, we arrived at the other side of the lake. We hiked for about 15 minuites to arrive at the waterfalls. I took a picture of some wildlife animals I found interesting while we hiked: This is a ?wild boar.? I don?t know if you should still call it ?wild? though because it?s already in captive. If you don?t know what it is it?s kind of sort of like a crazy, black-colored pig which is much more aggressive than the no...

Day 2: Apo Island

June 1, 2008 This was the most tiring day of the trip. From Private Residence Resort, we rode a "banka" going to Apo Island. I have motion sickness so I just stood still during the one-hour boat trip. The weather was sweet during our trip and the waters are calm. We were greeted by this very nice rock formation when we parked along the shores of Apo Island. It is said that this rock is cursed though. If you scream by its presence, something bad will happen to you, like an accident perhaps. Apo Island has a marine sanctuary and we went snorkelling. I wished I had an underwater camera because the reef is really a beauty. I wish I could have capture it. It was full of corals, fishes and many more. After diving the reef we went up to the viewing deck. We didn't regret the 15-minuite hiking with the harsh sun above our heads. The view is breathtaking enough and worthy of the walk. Of course, my trip to this Island wouldn't be complete without my creative nature shots. With...
