Capturing Unexpected Moments with Samsung Pixon

Samsung Mobile Uncovers the Samsung Pixon

Everyone loves to play photographer these days. With technology allowing us to capture the fast and spontaneous moments in life, ordinary camera phones would no longer do. Keep ahead of the shutterbug pack and take clearer, sharper, and more stunning photos with the latest offering from Samsung Mobile, a leading innovator in mobile phones.

Taking cue from its name, the Samsung Pixon M8800 offers the ultimate in camera phone technology. Featuring an 8 megapixel camera, advanced picture-taking functions, photo and video uploading features, and a large touch-enabled screen, all housed in a sleek and stylish casing with a dual face design, the Pixon is set to take picture taking and photo blogging onto a whole different level.

Combining the powers of a real digital camera with the ease of use of a full touch screen, the Samsung Pixon enables users to take photos in a snap. Its Intelligent Imaging features, such as Fast Advanced Shake Reduction, Face Recognition, and Auto Contrast Balance, can help even the most novice shutterbugs take clear, sharp images with stunning colors. The Pixon’s new Photo Browser function also categorizes snapshots by time, color tone, and composition, making photo browsing easier and faster. Users simply have to tilt the phone to control their picture browsing experience.

For the more adventurous auteur, advanced camera features are available for them to play around and experiment with, take beautiful landscape shots with the Automatic Panorama Shot, and snap perfect profile photos every time with the Smile Shot and Blink Shot features. Keep photos organized and in sync with your phonebook contacts through the Face Tagging service, and even sort your pictures any way you want—through face recognition, location, time, and file name—for your own personal convenience.

Share your memorable moments with the rest of the world with the Pixon’s Photo Sharing and Video Uploading services. Do your mobile blogging in an instant in 30 of the most popular user-generated websites: Flickr, Facebook, Blogger, Wordpress, Twitter, and so much more. Mobile blogging allows you to upload items including photos and videos taken on your mobile phone to your blogs, social online networks and other websites without going through a computer. This feature works with Shozu to allow you to keep your friends and family updated on your life. Simply use the embedded Shozu program to upload mobile contents to the Web with just one click.

The Samsung Pixon is not just a sight to see but also a melody to keep you up on your feet. This is the power of Pixon’s Music Recognition Feature. Simply record a ten-second sample of that great new song you just heard whilst walking down the street, and Pixon will access its extensive database to help you identify the song and the artist… and even the album! An additional option gives you the chance of purchasing the music so you can listen to it to your heart’s content… legally!

The Samsung Pixon matches its highly functional and advanced camera phone technology with a stylish yet user-friendly design. Its large 3.2” LCD with 16M Color TFT enhances your phone experience, while the full touch screen keeps everything easy and simple. You can do whatever you want by simply pressing any of the “desktop-like” icons on the screen which are more popularly known as “widgets”. In its 13.8 mm casing, the Pixon is a camera phone powerhouse that easily fits the palm of your hand.

And as they say, whatever you can hold is at your utmost control. Samsung Fun Club, the official website of Samsung Mobile, is giving its users a chance to design/personalize a Pixon phone and share it with all their contacts in their Facebook and Friendster. And the grandest of them all will be taking home a brand new Pixon phone. All you have to do is log on to samsungmobile.com and start widgeting your way to the SFC Pixon Application’s top choice.

So unleash the photographer in you with the Samsung Pixon M8800 and capture unexpected moments to store and to share with the world.

The Samsung Pixon will be available to the Philippine market on the 3rd week of December 2008 recommended retail price of Php 26,000.
