What's the point of having your most beautiful skin yet, when you don't go out of the comforts of your home? Today's mission came with perfect timing! MISSION #4: NURTURE RELATIONSHIPS Something's in the mail! Keeping healthy relationships go a long way to making you feel good and look good. Valentine's Dinner at Maxims The Terrace

It's the month of love, and what better way to celebrate than to enjoy good food with your significant other/loved ones? Matt and I tried out the Valentine's Dinner at The Terrace at Maxims. For a fixed price of P2,000 per person, you get to create your own 4-course dinner by selecting one item per course. You also have the option to pay a consumable amount of P3,000 and eat as many of the same dishes as you want, for example, for P3,000 you can just order the main course and dessert. Yaye for choices! For either choice, you get to have an Amuse Bouche with toasted baguette slices with assorted dips: Hummus, Baba ghanoush and Tapenade. Chef Ben of The Terrace greeted us and enlightened us about the different dishes he was about to serve us. He explained to us that rather than drowning the food in sauces and spices, he tried bring out the flavour of each and every ingredient on their own. He explained that if they just used a lot of sauce and spices, you are just going to...

Easy Cooking with Top Torikatsu

My world is very much influenced with Japanese culture lately. I have been watching One Piece, playing Pokemon, and I've been into Japanese food. I've been eating ramen, sushi and yakiniku! I love watching Cooking Master Boy and Yakitate Japan (anime about making bread)! It cannot be avoided, I have to make a Japanese dish that I, and my boy have been craving for! We are lovers of food - but not exactly cooks. So how do we do it? I've heard of the latest product of Bountry Fresh that just made my day! Time is scarce for us since I've been busy with my pole dancing apprenticeship and Matt has been busy with his new job. Yesterday, we are just happy to spend time and cook together! An easy dinner for us, but a really delicious one thanks to the new Top Torikatsu by Bounty Fresh! Now, Bounty Fresh brings us Top Torikatsu, the first in a brand new line of heat-and-eat items for people who lack time or the knowhow to prepare meals but nonetheless ap...

Yabu - House of Katsu

Would you believe it's my first time here? I know! I finally had to see for myself (or rather taste) what the fuzz is all about! We're stuck in Manila because of work. Next best thing to do, is to go around the city and explore, while traffic is tolerable. Grind the sesame seeds to prepare the sauce. Pour tonkatau sauce with the sesame seeds. Mix with chopsticks! Enjoy Tonkatsu! M e and Matt are actually thinking, how can katsu taste different from the others? It's just breaded pork! The answer lies on the sauce and the quality of meat. Condiments Seafood Katsu Set 1 Served with unlimited Japanese white riceor organic brown rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, organic cabbage and a bowl of fruit. Black tiger prawn, Scallop, Cream dory, Oyster and Squid. Premium Tonkatsu set It's the same set as above but with Kurobota Pork. It's like the wagyu of pork . The verdict: thumbs up for the...

K-Pub BBQ Meat All You Can

I first saw this new attention-grabbing restaurant at the Fort Strip a month ago.  It looked really intimidating and big.  I passed by 5th avenue and thought "ooh!  There's a new restaurant!  Looks intimidating, I'm not gonna eat there."  I was wrong.  I tried it just this week and I can only blurt out two words "food coma"!!! Me and Matt have been watching Channel M recently because of Master Chef - Korea.  My love for K-pop culture got a bit revived when we watched Saturday Night Live Korea.  I was just reminded of how funny I find their humor to be.  My favorite sitcom before was "Non-stop." Anyway, it is with this reason that we were craving for Korean food.  Hence, we found our mighty tummies in this place K-Pub BBQ! You need to know only 1 thing when you dine in this place - EAT and RUN! So, you can choose from a few options, but we choose to get the P499 for 1 hr - unlimited meat!!! It comes with the usual Korean...
